Grimebusters

Crime and Investigation, 8.30pm

Seven tonnes of newspapers are discarded daily in London's famous Underground. This program is about the unheralded workers who clean up the mess no one else wants to deal with. Adrian, the attendant at Victoria Station, gathers up the bottles into which drunken commuters have relieved themselves. Meanwhile, John's extreme-clean-team heads to Wapping. Their task is to remove two tonnes of pigeon excrement built up over 50 years in a storage room.

HBO One Night Stand: Kevin Pollack

Comedy Channel, 10pm

Kevin Pollack is dressed in a cardigan that Daryl Somers would have been proud to wear on Hey Hey, It's Saturday, marking this special as circa 1989. In front of an audience of what seems to be whooping jackals, Pollack trots out standard jokes and impressions. Pollack does Columbo (yawn) and Woody Allen (yawn).

Tim Finn - The Conversation Show

Ovation, 10.30pm

In the early '70s, Miles Golding left the band Split Enz to become a classical musician. In yet another Split Enz reunion of sorts, Golding joins Tim Finn's latest project, along with the band's keyboardist Eddie Raynor. Disappointingly, this is not much better than a late night infomercial.
